| The EZ Guide 500 will only track WAAS/EGNOS out of the box. If you are comparing the Coast Guard Beacon signal to the WAAS signal I think you will see accuracies with WAAS just as good, or better than the Beacon depending on you location.
The ability for the 500 to receive an external NMEA input, like from a 132 or new 332 receiver, is not currently available in the 500. If you are looking for accuracy better than 6-8 inch pass to pass you upgrade your system to one of the Omnistar signals, XP or HP. You just have to purchase the upgrade which is a passcode and you will receive new antenna. You can then pick your signal. | |
