Wi

LazyJDairy - 3/6/2012 16:15 I am wondeirng the same or similar thing, currently have 2- 1475 18footers, we would like to lay wide and merge together, if we went for a 30ft merger (hopefully, slightly used) what is the brand and model to get. Sorry for stealing your thread.

OXBO has been around the longest and has the cheapest machine price wise last I checked. The Kuhn mergemaxx has been out for a bit and has some nice features but is narrow and pricey. The H&S triple section just came out last year. not sure how well they are running. ROC is expensive and narrow but also has nice features, parts can be hard to get though.

Basically if you are looking used. Oxbos are all over the market as are the older H&S bricks.

The OXBO is a good design. We use an 18' Nh for some of our hay, the rest is done with a V10 pottinger. We went with the 334 (34')and its just enough to get 2 18' windrows together for a 13' pickup without driving over the windrows.

Who has the best service in your area is more important than anything. For us Oxbo service is very good. Their factory service is also excellent, providing free product updates also.

Their new self propelled one looks neat, but pricey.
