My point is, I'm not understanding what's being alleged that every defensive player in the league doesn't do on every play. I've read the articles making the rounds on this, and I've seen no allegations of cheap shots or illegal hits. I agree that if, for example, some one intentionally chopped someone in the side of their knee they should be ejected, but I'm not seeing where that is even being accused. Are we talking about cheap shots or just hard-nosed football?
I won't argue with you on it being part of the game, the problem starts when a team starts paying a bounty for knockouts or for forcing a player to be carted off the field. I do find it funny that it was only a $1500 or a $1000 bonus.
