Thank you all for the replies. I agree with feeding keeps them calm and easy to work with. They come running every time I pull in or see a 5 gallon bucket for that matter. I have never raised my own replacements and have seen some people feed them heavily and others believe that the kind of cow to keep can make it on grass and mineral. I just wanted some opinions of what others do. I will continue to feed them atleast until the green grass comes on in another month or so.
