Have a 1,250 gallon 90' sprayer that I started out pulling with a 1086 and later upgraded to pulling it with a 5488.  In good conditions the 1086 did a pretty good job but on hills the sprayer would push it around and when it got muddy it struggled to pull the sprayer.  The 5488 handles it better all the time and pretty much eliminated the tail wagging the dog effect the 1086 had.  Duals do help and I'm sure MFD would help too.
