I saw this comment and had to bring it to the front. I guess it is easy to move your farm. Stupid. At least they got NIFA in the comment.

We should get the Federal government completely out of the business of regulating and promoting agriculture. We should end all crop subsidies, all federal insurance programs including crop insurance and flood insurance. If farmers cannot buy private crop insurance they should either move to a better location or get into another line of work.

I also believe that we should move the "Food Stamp" program and the food inspection programs (ARS, CNPP) over to HHS. We should also create a Department of Science to take over all the scientific agencies (NIFA, NRCS, USGS, NOAA, NWS, etc.). Then we should abolish the Dept of Agriculture altogether.
