NESD | All 4700's were built with class 7 power wheel hubs front and rear, the rear hubs proved to not be durable enough and were grenading really often, many with less than 100 hours.
During the winter of 2000 Deere issued a PIP to replace the rear hubs and wheels with a class 8 hub for all 4700's with 80 or 90 ft booms, the sprayers with 60ft Hardi booms were not included in this PIP.
This was a turning point for the 4700's as I only replaced two of the class 8 hubs since they were installed. One of which was actually caused by a failed park brake assy. | |
