It really depends on personal preference. In our operation here, I've got more full 4-wheel drives than MFWD. Simple economics, plus they work well on our operation. Maybe they come close to even pricing in areas of the country, but just last year, purchased a JD9230, fully loaded, 3pt, PTO, and spent way less than a comparable JD8430, front duals, ILS.
