Hastings, Florida | I live above you in Hastings, North Florida. Lots of the same stuff grown here. Hard to get into the Bok Choy and Napa market, the Oriental growers have that all tied up. The buyers refuse to buy from anyone not their nationality.
Coupla thousand acres of cabbage around .Market does suck Like my Dad used to say. if you put a ten dollar bill in every crate, you still could not sell it for 5 bucks. Just too warm a winter, too much supply.
Taters took a hit 2 weeks ago, frost took about half of early planting. Later plantings look good. | |
