Subject: RE: JD 250 planter monitor as implement switch?

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I have a 250 and work with this type of thing quite a bit. I don't know of a good clean way to hook up to a 250 monitor.

I would suggest using the Deere switch and bracket that is used by Deere for other purposes as an implement switch.

Run a 12 volt source back to the Deere switch and use the return line to trigger a N.O. 12V relay. The contacts of the relay can then tie into the proper pins on the 500.

I have my 500 tied into a switch on the Deere Tractor's Command Arm. This switch turns on a Raven Controller but also starts/stops the 500 at the same time via a relay.

You must use a relay to prevent damage to the 500.
