I learned this from a friend (actually a business comeptitor at the time) Do not slow down or stop what you are doing. There are a couple exceptions. One is if the person has something you are really interested in or want to discuss. The other was customers. In a farmer's situation that may be landowners or buyers of your products. If I stopped to see Rick in his office or out in the field he never stopped and barely slowed down. But if a good customer walked in he stopped what he was doing and was all ears. Put the same philosphy to use in your operation. |
