south central IOWA | These guys that say it's a bad idea are probably thinking the slats are suspended like in a hog barn. :-)
We have one lot that is full of them. A couple are broke from the skid loader catching them. It brings up 1 part of them and is no big deal. If a guy was worried about it, he could patch it in with sack concrete. Another lot just has a pad for the hay feeder and a "lane" to the waterier. For some reason that lot has slats that are getting out of whack. It might of been the install job that effects things the worst. Ours were put in when you couldn't get a week without rain.
IIRC they were $30 for a 4x8 and 4x10 delivered. They were new but unwanted for some reason.
The biggest thing would be cleaning them. Got to be careful. | |
