Subject: First time sandblaster and paint help

South Central IN
Hello. I am going to spruce up my Hagie 284 this winter before spraying season hits. It has several areas of rust and atrazine on the wheels and legs that I need to remove before the paint goes on. I bought a simple sandblaster the other day, but I need some help choosing a media. I have read that silica based sand is frowned upon for it's impact on lungs. Ideally, I'd like to prep and paint an area every couple days and then move to a new spot. If I can keep the dust down, I'd like to blast it in the shop and be able to paint in the warm.

What media would be best suited to the job? Best place to purchase? What prep and paint would be most chemical resistant?

Thanks in advance for the help!
