Some can be connected 240 or 480. 12 wires out would be a clue.
If you have several small single phase, 240 volt, loads, you can balance the phases, some. Probably 2/3 load, but you want that much "extra" generator to hold the voltage from getting soft.

Do you suppose the 100 hours is right on this one?
