Hi Larry-

I just did a quick search on google since Outback doesn't have any specs on their website about the Baseline HD system and it looks like they were rating that system at 4-6cm or 1.5-2.3in, this would be a horizontal accuracy rating. Rule of thumb is that vertical accuracy is double, so you would be looking at 3-4.6in for vertical accuracy which obviously isn't accurate enough for grade control. The Outback A220/221 & Intellislope system would be great fit for you.
