Subject: Need advice on a Challenger 765 and Deere 1790 planter combo..

Crawfordsville, Arkansas
Tractor is a 2004 Challenger 765 and planter is a 2009 Deere 1790 16/31. Tractor is not ISO ready after talking with Reichhardt today and looking everything over. He gave me a few ideas but basically said I need to go to Challenger and have them make it ISO ready before doing anything else.

The planter comes with a 250 monitor. I want something better and also want autosteer. Which way would you go? Thought about a Deere 2600 or even a 1800 and running autosteer plus the planter monitor through one screen. Dealer thinks he can get a used 2600 for about the same as a new 1800. We also threw around the idea of a 20/20 Precision monitor. I have a Outback S lightbar and a few Trimble lightbars in a sprayer and fert truck but I couldn't tell you what they are or anything about them.

So what would you do? Right now I don't have anything and have plenty of choices. To many choices really.

Planter will see soybeans and milo only. Maybe corn in 2013 but for right now just beans and milo.
