Ha! I thought we were the only ones who pull started a No. 12. Granddad had a '53 model. When the pony motor went out Granddad was the only one who knew how to pull start it, but my brother and I were bored one day and needed to clear some snow, so we figured it on our own. I loved that grader, even though it was a beast to operate. The engine threw a rod out of the oil pan in 2005, and it was sold for scrap a couple years ago. That's a hard machine to replace; I wish I could have restored or repowered it.
