We have a 2000 Chevy 1 ton that has been a great truck except for the door handles in the cab.  Everyone I know cusses these things.  We've tried many fixes, including shortening the linkage from the handle to the latch.  After about $200 worth of new handles on each side we've finally resorted to rolling the windows down to get to the outside handle.  I think if I could find someone that makes the replacement handle out of quality material instead of cheap pot metal it would be worth a shot.

Has anyone successfully repaired this issue with long term good results?  TIA
