Well, not paying anyone else to do it so I don't know how he'll be, but I would ask him about it. We've been planting six and shelling 4 for a long time, I just can't justify a 6 row combine right now and am not in any hurry yet anyways. Very rarely is Dad off on his planting (he's the planter operator 95% of the time.. if I do end up knocking something down it's usually only the first 20 feet or so of a round. I recommend putting in an extra pass of end rows, giving you a little more time to get your planter squared up and back on the mark with your last pass. You could also pick up a used original Raven cruizer for less than a grand and stay close enough with that to get it all into the header. If you set your marker right, whether you put it to center of the hood or in the front tire track, you should be able to be pretty much right on with markers though. Keep the extra end rows in mind too.
