| Purchased a used 925 header that has the John Deere auger conversion to make it full fingered. It would appear that on the flighting that runs the length of the auger that bolt on extenders have been added to bring the grain closer to the center of the auger. These bolt on flighting pieces are a foot long or so and can be removed quite easily or left in place. The header is used for wheat and soybeans and is going to be used on a 9510. Our last grain header (216) did not have the extenders. Has anyone else put these on to bring the grain closer to the center of the feeder house? Will I need them on? Time will tell here in another month when we go to do wheat. Just wanted some other thoughts.
Thank you - it always amazes me how valuable this page is and how much knowledge can be gained by reading it.
