I don't know of anyone that has successfully repaired one. Known a few guys that have tried, one of which used to do fiberglass repair for Boeing. He said it appeared to him that the hood design captured too much heat and his fix wouldn't hold (it didn't). I think a new hood is in the $4-5,000 range, so I'll live with the crack.
