| that flanged part is splined into the transmission. this is a common wear spot. replace the external part. hopefully the splines on the trans side are not too bad yet as this requires the front cover of trans to come off to replace it. not too hard to replace the outside piece. just take the back joint apart and move the shaft to the side. i have had a couple where i had to take the entire shaft out, but dont recall specific models. grease the splines when putting together. | |
