Subject: Farmall Mike Squeeze to roller pump

Westport, IN
Here is a photo of my roller pump on My Kinze 2000 planter. The big sprocket on the right is the driver and is mounted where the squeeze pump driver was. It is the absolute largest sprocket that can fit on the shaft. The pump shaft sprocket is the smallest sprocket available for the 5/8" pump shaft. It uses # 40 chain. I set the pressure with a relief valve and monitor flow with Weiglers. I set the rate with a chart for speed, rate and PSI. You need a shut off valve before the pump because when you fill the tanks the pressure from the transfer pump will flow through the pump easily. You will also need 10 PSI check valve with the orfices because when the tanks are full they may not shut off with the 2 PSI checks. It shuts off on the ends, and when I stop. I don't forget to turn it on either. It works so much better than the squeeze pump could have. Roller pumps are so cheap that they probably be cheaper than new hoses for the squeeze pump.
