Subject: RE: Do 9x30 Deere tractors de-rate engine power when 3-point is down?

Huntley, Wyoming
I have experienced this when I worked for Schlagel Mfg when we took a machine out to a new customer that just had got his new 9630 tractor. The strip till unit that he bought was a three point model with a caddy. When he would lower the three point to put the machine in the ground and could barely pull it, raise it up out of deep tillage and pull it with no problem. Put a draw bar machine and also didn't have any problems, pull it any speed guy wanted. Come to find out that the bigger 9 thousand tractors have too much power for the three points on them so when they go into deep tillage they don't get full power.
