| It has been explained to me (by the salesman) that any time you run your PTO or your hydraulics the max horsepower the engine will produce increases significantly. For example, the power growth on the 350 Steiger is supposed to be about 40 HP if you have PTO or hydraulics engaged. This is done to prevent the engine from hurting the drivetrain by putting too much power through the drive train. If some of that power is being drained by the hydraulics or PTO, they assume the engine won't have enough remaining horsepower to destroy the drivetrain. Did the salesman explain it to me correctly or not? The Case website does a pretty poor job of explaining those things as far as I can tell. Thanks. |
