Had the same issue with my 08 Suburban, it's the vent assembly. Because uncle Sam doesn't want vapors going in to the air, heaven forbid, there is a recirculation system that gets clogged with dust. Same price on my Sub. Required spare to be dropped, rear wheels removed. You can do it yourself, but plan on spending some time.
