ND | Housing is tough any time of the year here. Apartments that used to go for $500/month are now going for $2,500+. I've heard of people renting out spare bedrooms in their house for close to $1,000 a month. It's too bad to hear of people who have lived here their entire life (particularly retired elderly people) who are being forced to move because they can't afford the increase in rent and living costs.
Alot of people are living in tents, trucks, you name it in the summer time. Winter weather in ND is no good for a tent. Anyone with a crappy old camper could bring it to western ND and cash in big time. Workers are paying top dollar for that kind of housing. | |
