| Market Sources that track Fertilizer trends across the production belt have 10-34 about 30% higher than this time in 2011, Potash about 15% higher and liquid nitrogen about 10% above a year ago.
For the droughty area's that is pretty hard to take.. where 2011 yields were down by a third or more. Margins are under assault from both lower prices offered as well as higher input costs... I'm not seeing this big uptick in acres that everyone is talking about.. Guys here are just trying to figure out how to pay the bills.. in some cases that would be 2011 bills.. |
