They will blame us "gold bugs". We were the ones that will have caused it becaused we were "unpatriotic" and did not buy government bonds to support "our country".

It will be everybody's "fault" except the people that actually caused it. They will find someone to blame. They will find multiple someone's to confiscate savings and money from through "windfall" taxes maybe on precious metals and "evil speculators". Price controls maybe on things like food, land, etc. Could "protect" us from ourselves and our propensity to speculate by forcing some or all of our IRA's into "safe" government bonds.

All of the above is of course wild speculation. But it will not seem so wild if it comes about. I see nothing steering us towards a sustainable path to date. History tells us that monetary failures and empires in decline do not create safe environments for its citizens wealth. Government is a beast that insists it be fed.

Protect yourself best you can. Vote for representatives that have their head on straight and will stand up for individual property rights and monetary reform.

This is not going to end well. We will make it to the other side. Try to come through it the best you can.
