East Prairie, MO | Yes that's the idea, I enjoyed that part of my training and feel I could get myself out of a jam if need be. (That's what it's designed to do and nothing more) Me enjoying it so much, along with it being a personal goal and making overall flying a safer affair in general, are reasons I want to get my Instrument rating. I figure other factors come into play when a VFR pilot gets in a mess and has to call on that (lets be honest, limited training) in a heated situation. I like the "Never Again" Podcasts that AOPA puts out with pilot stories, there's a good one where an IFR pilot watches the Attitude indicator do some scary things while in the fog. |
