Subject: Re: Kitchen remodel

Done a recent remodel and put in recessed can lighting in kitchen and family room. Used the CFL daylight in the kitchen area and standard flood light in family. Really like the bright white light in kitchen. The standad bulbs seem a little warmer in the other areas. Others we know have used daylight CFL s and hate them. Matter of preference. Tried the Dimmable CFL in the dining area and they didn't work. Only dim 1/2 way down. Took them and dimmers back out. Used 12volt puck light ( Xenon)under wall cabinets with three level touch dimmer. Didn't like the idea of house line voltage running through the cabinets so used low voltage. Have to find a place to hide transformer though. Really like the touch pad to switch on the pucks though. Out of sight under cab. No extra wall switches to install.
