Subject: IH 5288 MFWD Front Wheel Spacing

NE Kansas
Trying to get the old girl to fit 30" rows without taking 40 acres to turn. It was set on 88" centers when purchased and would turn on a dime. Moved to 60" centers (actually set at 64") and also changed the turn stop to keep the wheels from coming too close to the frame. You can leave the turn stop in the short position so that there is a little more rotation to the wheels, It doesn't hit the sides but gets close. Not sure what it would do in a ditch.

Has anyone with either an 88 series or later magnum series tried leaving the stop in the turn short position with the wheels set in? I think the only other option is to space out to 120".

thanks
