Subject: Re: Co-op has way over charged me????

Washington Co Ks
Our local coop oil company tried to charge my son for things that he didn't buy. They got a lawyer involved. All he was given was a list of charges but no record of what they were for. My son contested some of the charges and the lawyer said that if the coop couldn't show what the charges were for they couldn't collect. They dropped some of the charges right away but tried to say that he had bought some tractor tires and he didn't farm or have a tractor. The coop went belly up soon after. I had been a director at one time. One of the directors at the end asked me if I knew about some of the accounts on the books. It seems that when the directors checked the books they found amoung other things an account for a John Doe with no address. I told him that I knew where John Doe lived and gave him directions to the bookeeper and managers houses. He said that was his thinking to but couldn't prove it. It only takes one bad apple to ruin the whole basket.
