Ethridge, TN | Know of an operation that is running the 800 metrics dueled, but they are also pushing a 24rx20" Gearinghoff head in corn. Their main complaint, yes it is a pain in the rear to transport. Just beside the normal encounters on the road with other traffic, they have to go out of the way at times due to bridges, guard rails, and such having the extra width. With that head, it's just a no other option deal for them tho.
If your 30' consists of a 12rx30" head, I think I'd just opt for the 20.8's. If you are talking a 18rx20" head, you are beginning to have more reason for the 800's, to justify the problems of moving the machine down the road. | |
