Wyoming | Land commander is much heavier, bigger disks, shanks go deeper. Unless you have a big 4wd get a soil commander instead. I have a 9 shank soil commander and it pulls decent on a MFWD tractor. More power the deeper you go obviously, but after the first year breaking our plow pan it pulled fairly well everywhere. Liked it a lot until we decided to go strip till for putting fertilizer on. For the situation you describe it would work great. If sandy soil you could plant right behind it if it has a packer like mine, or run a field cultivator lightly or a rollerharrow if you want it smoother like for beets.
Mine is for sale actually if you are looking for one. I paid 27 for it a few years back and I'd take 12 because it mostly just sits since I bought a strip till. Here is a terrible quality video from my phone from a few years ago behind chopped corn.
