NW Washington | I have read Grant's Memoirs and I strongly recommend it. It is actually pretty easy to read. It was written by Grant shortly before he died of throat cancer and Mark Twain is responsible of getting it published and getting Grant and his heirs to earn some money from its publication.
Grant had been swindled out of most of his money and needed money badly at this time. Grant lead an interesting life and suffered many disappointments and some great accomplishments. | |
