I'm not sure how much potash you can safely apply but I think your math is off. 41 pounds of potash would amount to 41 x 60%= 24.6 pounds of actual KCl. Potassium and chlorine are very similiar in molecular weight so assume half of that 24.6 pounds is chlorine. You would be applying ~12 pounds of Cl.
