Subject: perfect prime rib

eastern ND
found a never fail prime rib recipe that I used last night. Start with the roast at room temp, season as desire, preheat oven to 550, place in oven uncovered in shallow pan for 6 minutes per pound shutoff oven and DON'T OPEN DOOR FOR TWO HOURS. I took it out and sliced it right away. The end pieces were probably med well and the interior was 135 degrees or med rare. Have tried many differant ways of preparing prime rib and this is by far the best. Merry Christmas to you all.
