Subject: RE: Canolas dirty little secret

SW Saskatchewan
First-polyunsaturated vegtable oils are probably more harmful than the equivalent animal/dairy fats.

The original oil (rapeseed oil) was not allowed into the US but we got to eat it and the propaganda for it in Canada.

With the removal of several organic acids through crop breeding, it was renamed canola and received GRAS status and then could be sold in the US.

But its big impact was that it was an alternative oil to soybean and could be used by processors to undercut soybean prices.

Put butter on it- you will like it better.
