North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

Ed Winkle - 12/9/2011 21:31 Great question Hobbs. That is two in one night, you and Chris! Healthy soil is living, structured, porous, rich in organic matter and nutrients. Many things can be done to improve soil health. The first thing is stop erosion! With all the money and efforts we still have too many brown streams and even notill with cover crops has some erosion! Porosity, structure and mineral content are important but so is organic matter, biology, living organisms. Most important is C, H, O and why tile and notill are so important to maintaining and improving soil. Without them the other suffer. I wonder who wrote the Wiki piece? https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=0&oq=wha... Great topic, tons of winter reading. Ed

Haha, makes you wonder Ed  ?
