Trenton, KY | Ed, my dad wants a better explanation of the theory behind the humidity + temperature = 100 equation. His question is, well, "what about when its 85 degrees and the humidity is 30%, thats 115 and yet it will dry better than it would when its colder out. Can you explain the science or theory behind this? BTW, we are still blowing on 40,000 bushels of corn that was shelled at 18-20% at the end of September. Two bins (17,000 bushels total) was shelled at 20%, and I thought we should have turned them and left them running, but they want to cut them off every night and not blow at all when it rains. What is the right method, if there is a "right" method for air drying? | |
