North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt ! | Nick M - 12/6/2011 21:08 My post earlier called for 8-19-3 that was a little over $3/gal, and the other poster said 10-34-0 was $4.50/gal. Big difference to me. I agree about the MAP usage and then using a little in-furrow. I really don't count the in-furrow for my total numbers, I just want to use the best product available. There have been plenty of posts on here where guys are looking for a low-salt fertilizer in-furrow rather than using 10-34-0. These guys normally get hounded by guys saying use the cheapest one cause a pound of P is a pound of P whether it is poly or ortho or salty vs. low salt. Now this year 10-34-0 isn't the cheapest, I'm just curious how many will change and try something new. well Nick, You have to figure the units of N-P-K in the 8-19-3 at your 3. plus per gallon and the units of N-P-K in the 10-34-0 for 4.50 gal. do the math for us and see what actual nutrients cost and compare in each product.
