You dont trust them, you ask for weigh tickets and you be around when they are spreading. Seven years ago a local coop spread my fertilizer, couldnt understand why the float truck had to go home every night for 3 nights and why it took so long to spread 250 acres. Got my statement and I was way over on ferttilizer applied, driver blamed it on overlap and all of our small strips, his answers werent jiving with me so I went to the manager and discussed it,come to find out that he was spreading fertilizer of mine and several others on his brother-in-laws farm, he was canned and the coop made it right. Dont trust them.
