There's two very important and related life lessons in all this.      But some of us never grasp the significance of  either.

1. Choose your words  very  carefully  because you  actually can't  ever retract them. 
Once said, they are out there, reflecting back on you forever, even if  how they are perceived is not quite what you meant.

2  It is as important HOW you say things,  as much  or more than,  the content and intent of your speech.
