Well, isn't that just sweet. Once you get past several pages of the online registration, the final page asks for a "sponsorship token". If you do not have one of these, there is an 800 number to call. The polite person who answered that number asked me if I was already a paid subscriber to the CDMS system. I said no, but that I regularly used their free Web site. She said, sorry, but that the mobile guide was free only to those who pay the annual subscription fee of $995. I have to go back to the description in the App Store, but I don't believe this minor detail was provided.
