Subject: Ams as starter for corn

Madison, fl
We use 18-0-0-3 with minors dribbled beside the row as a starter but I really think we need more sulfur and was wondering if there is any danger in using AMS just thinking about it as an option it would give me 30 units of s and about 24 units of N for 21 bucks? We are thinking about putting fert disc on the planter and put it 2x2 and dribble on top. Any opinions appreciated and if anyone knows if AMS is harmful to germ? Just never heard of anyone using it in this way. T.I.A.
