Subject: Notill corn P&K question

swohio
Have been putting all N P&K though planter for last 10 years. Has worked well. But with our weather the last few springs having fewer and fewer days to plant, I'am switching frow 8 row to 12 row and going to go to maybe 15 gals. of 28% though planter and sidedress the rest. Rent all ground and have some with not good P&K levels. Have a local notill farmer who rents lot of ground puts on 250lbs. of 9-23-30. He is very happy with this setup and yields. Putting all P&K though planter slows down planting time. Would like to maybe just put some P in row and spread the K. Anybody doing something like this? Have never felt just spreading P&K on top of ground would give good results, but the guy who does it has been doing it a while and is all notill. he puts nothing though planter. Any help on this would greatly apprecited.
