had an expensive telescope when kids were little,,,very disappointed in performance. Best do a test drive before buying. Except for the moon, couldnt see anything with it you couldnt see with eyes. When I was a kid we had some 50X binoculars you could see cheese making on the moon, they were 100 times better than any old telescope.
