Exactly how I do it. The only clumps I get is if I stop suddenly for a rock or something. The other thing that's nice is if you dont have electric clutches you can still shut the planter off with a switch from the cab with out raising it. Nice when crossing waterways or point rows----I have two Rawson drives on a 12 row. Can also do split planter population if you want.
