NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | I know you asked for 1-5 year spread but mine is exactly three weeks older then me, a little over 35 years now. I wouldn't let the year spread bother me as long as you are both happy. I will have to admit however that we have made more & more comments these last few years that we are glad we are about the same age.
We're no where near retirement age (56) but can sure tell our bodies are not what they used to be. By that I mean wrinkles, grey hair, more sore joints & having less energy as we used to.
I could be totally wrong but it seems to me that if there was a 5-10 year spread in a marriage the younger ones lifestyle would be slowed down somewhat due to the older one slowing down earlier. But then on the other hand maybe it would keep the older one younger at heart trying to keep up with the younger spouse :-). | |
